Working closely with employers

Our Employer Engagement Policy

Successful Apprenticeships rely on strong partnerships with employers. We work with organisations across England at every stage, from planning and enrolment to delivery and regular reviews.

Our Employer Engagement in Apprenticeships Policy explains how we work with employers to make sure ensure training meets both business needs and learner development.

The policy outlines:

  • How we engage with employers and potential learners to raise awareness of Apprenticeships
  • The full employer journey, from initial discussions through to programme delivery and completion
  • How we collect and use employer feedback to improve the quality of our training

Supporting employers

Listening to employers to improve training

Employer feedback helps us maintain high-quality training. We regularly gather feedback to understand what works well and where we can improve.

Supporting off-the-job training

Helping managers support off-the-job learning

Off-the-job training is an important part of every Apprenticeship programme.

Your learner’s tutor or coach will work with you to plan learning activities that support their role and development. These activities are reviewed regularly during Teaching and Learning Reviews.

We support employers and line managers in understanding how off-the-job training works and how it can benefit both learners and the organisation.
